Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel says winning would prevent organization from shipping out talent like Jaelan Phillips and rebuilding.
One day after the loss, the Dolphins announced that they had fired general manager Chris Grier. A change in power at the GM role indicates that no one on the roster is safe moving forward, as whoever is brought in will have ties or allegiances with the current regime.

After the Dolphins lost 28-6 to the Ravens last Thursday, there was speculation that the team could fire head coach Mike McDaniel but they wound up making a different move.
After ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday that McDaniel would remain on the job at least through the end of the 2025 season and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero followed by suggesting to not dismiss the possibility of McDaniel being back in 2026, Ian Rapoport took it a step further.

Mike McDaniel reportedly safe as Dolphins coach for 'at least' remainder of 2025
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel isn't going anywhere any time soon, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The NFL insider reported Friday, shortly after Chris Grier was let go as general manager, that McDaniel will remain the team's head coach through "at least" the remainder of the 2025 season.
The Miami Dolphins fell to 2-7 with a 28-6 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. It was an especially disappointing result since, just four days prior, it looked as if they may have gotten back on the right track with a dominant victory against the Atlanta Falcons .

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel on Monday spoke to reporters after the team agreed to part ways with general manager Chris Grier, saying the move was emotional but that he remains focused on his responsibilities.
Grier was with the Dolphins organization for 25 years after joining the organization as a scout in 2000. He worked his way up the front office ladder and took on the general manager role in 2016. In his tenure as GM, the Dolphins reached the playoffs three times but lost in the Wild Card round each time.
