President Donald Trump said the US would match its rivals in testing nuclear weapons after Russia announced trials of a nuclear-powered underwater drone and nuclear-capable cruise missile.

VLADIMIR Putin has been secretly pummelling Ukraine with a banned missile for months – as Donald Trump is forced to start testing nuclear weapons again.

The proposed meeting, scheduled for this month, was shelved after Moscow maintained its demands, notably that Ukraine surrender additional territory as a prerequisite for a ceasefire.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said his forces are fighting fierce battles in the strategic eastern city of Pokrovsk as Russia masses troops in an effort to seize control of the stronghold.

Russia fired over 650 drones and 50 missiles targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, causing power outages nationwide and killing two people.
