FCS Football: The Sunday After – Overreactions to Week 10
The last time the conference had fewer than four representatives in the FCS playoffs (excluding the shortened Spring season) was back in 2017. Stephen F. Austin had itself a perfect weekend between its 41-17 victory over UTRGV and Lamar’s upset loss to Incarnate Word.
Defensively, the Coyotes caused three Fighting Hawks turnovers, including interceptions from Matt Walsh and R.J. Stewart in the first half. Coming into the matchup, North Dakota’s offense was averaging 40 points per game, with quarterback Jerry Kaminski tossing 22 touchdowns to just two interceptions, though that latter total doubled Saturday.
Michael Wortham remains the most versatile athlete in the FCS. He led the Griz with 89 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while also posting a team-high 80 receiving yards and one touchdown. If that wasn't enough production, he also added 69 return yards, which brought him to over 230 total yards.
