AP Top 25 poll preview: The Top 10 is set to get shuffled after Vanderbilt and Miami go down
Conditions are right for another quiet week at and near the top of The Associated Press college football poll. There was minimal shuffling last week.
Vanderbilt should stay firmly inside the top 20 after its road loss to Texas. The Commodores may be in the same group as multiple other SEC teams. Two-loss Oklahoma fell from No. 11 to No. 18, which is one spot ahead of Texas, in Week 9 after its loss to Ole Miss. Tennessee, another two-loss SEC team, is currently ranked No. 14.
Week 10 has taken a left turn with Penn State at Ohio State and Florida vs. Georgia not looking as meaningful as we thought in August, but there’s still plenty to know about the Nov. 1 slate ahead of the first College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday.
The eye test says that there shouldn’t be much of a conversation about who should have that top spot when the first rankings are revealed on Tuesday. But the resume test might say otherwise. To no fault of its own,
