The Sunday Night Football broadcast did not go quite as planned. The night marked the fourth straight loss for theWashington Commanders as they fell before theSeattle Seahawks by a margin of 38 – 14.

NBC has unveiled its full holiday programming schedule through Jan. 1, 2026. This year's schedule holiday schedule kicks off on Nov. 6 with "Wicked: One Wonderful Night," followed by the 99th "Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade" and the "National Dog Show" on Thanksgiving.

YouTube TV and NBCUniversal are in a contract dispute over carriage fees. The two sides have reached a "short-term extension" that will keep NBC channels on YouTube TV while negotiations continue beyond the previous Sept.

YouTube TV customers continue to not have access to ESPN. And no one in a position to do anything about it seems to care. Google was able to get a deal done with Fox in August. In September, NBC and Google worked out a new contract. On Friday, however, all Disney-owned networks exited the popular streaming collection of channels.

Americans continued to rely on Fox News for information and analysis through October, and FNC continues to lead all broadcast networks among weekday primetime viewers in 2025.

The stand-off between the distributor with 10 million subscribers and the content company controlling premium sports TV rights continues.

Try taking that up against a true Goliath in Google (Alphabet, really), the $3 trillion (by market cap) behemoth that owns YouTube TV. Alphabet barely cares about YouTube TV’s financial performance — it is the Apple TV+ to Apple, a cellphone maker.
