The first runners have already started their 26.2-mile journey across New York City. The first professional runners have crossed the finish line in Central Park, setting new records with photo finishes.

Zohran Mamdani, the front-runner, and his rivals, Andrew M. Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, are racing to turn out voters before Election Day on Tuesday. Polls are open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
