Massive fire engulfs building on Chicago’s North Side
CHICAGO - Crews were battling a massive fire at a building on Chicago’s North Side on Tuesday afternoon. The fire engulfed a three-story apartment building in the 5000 block of N. Troy Street in Albany Park, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The explosion and fire were reported just after 2:30 p.m., according to a dispatcher. Firefighters battled the stubborn fire for just over three hours.
Two people were killed, five others were injured and more than a dozen people were displaced when a fire broke out at a home in Sunland late Saturday night, according to Los Angeles firefighters.
